Rivertown Meadow
This wild, meadow-inspired pollinator garden is a joy to watch through the seasons.
Set against the backdrop of the Hudson River, this Tarrytown garden is home to honeybees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Before we started work on this Tarrytown pollinator garden, we were staring down a half-acre of the worst invasive vines, trees and scrub that one could imagine. Eschewing the use of herbicides, we worked hard to remove all of the weeds by hand prior to planting this gorgeous, meadow-inspired garden. Organically shaped planting beds are carved into the hillside, giving home to a dazzling array of grasses, flowers and trees. Throughout all four seasons this garden is home to pollinators, butterflies, bees and other native insects.
